Annual Benefit for Boca Raton Historical Society Included Four Memorable Vintner/Distiller Dinners and an Amazing Grand Tasting at The Addison
(Boca Raton, FL ) The always popular BOCA BACCHANAL, an annual celebration of fine wine and food benefitting the Boca Raton Historical Society, welcomed more than 300 ticket buyers when it returned late last month for five tasty events within 48 hours:
Friday, April 28 – Distiller Dinner at The Boca Raton
At BOCA BACCHANAL’s first Distiller Dinner held in The Boca Raton’s fabulous MB Supper Club, which recreates the ambience of the golden age of supper clubs in the 1930s and ’40s, five exquisite whiskeys from The Macallan Distillery in Craigellachie, Scotland were showcased. At the thirst-quenching event, Macallan was represented by Brand Ambassador Katie Nahat, while the delicious meal was prepared and served by Andrew Roenbeck, The Boca Raton’s Director of Culinary Operations & Resort Executive Chef, and Peter Annewanter, Executive Chef of MB Supper Club and Flybridge.
Saturday, April 29 – Three Traditional Vintner Dinners
- Vintner Dinner #1 in a Private Home
Hosts Thom & Joyce DeVita and Al & Joni Goldberg offered a memorable repast prepared by Eric Baker, Chef/Owner of AlleyCat and Big in Japan, along with amazing wines from Silver Oak and Twomey Cellars from Napa Valley, California—represented by Anna Pepgjonaj
- Vintner Dinner #2 at The Boca Raton Train Depot for cocktails; followed by dinner at The Addison
Hosts David & Holly Meehan and Zoe Lanham & The Addison served an extraordinary meal prepared under the direction of The Addison’s Executive Chef Patrick Duffy, who welcomed to his kitchen Jeff Tunks, Executive Chef, Corvina Seafood Grill in Boca Raton; Chris Clime, Executive Chef, PassionFish in Reston, VA; and Jose Hernandez, Executive Sous Chef, The Addison. The wine served at this Vintner Dinner was courtesy of Domaine Carneros from Napa Valley, California—represented by Winemaker TJ Evans.
- Vintner Dinner #3 at The Seagate Hotel & Spa in Delray Beach
Hosts The Seagate Hotel & Spa with Elizabeth Kelley Grace and Olivia Hollaus offered an incredible meal prepared by the hotel’s chef Gordon Maybury, Director of Culinary; Ivan Acevedo, Executive Chef; and Mitzu Nozaki, Pastry Chef. The featured wines were from Napa Valley’s ZD Wines represented by Teresa D’Aurizio, National Sales Manager.
Sunday, April 30 – The Grand Tasting at The Addison
As a special one-hour prelude to The Grand Tasting, BOCA BACCHANAL presented two special sipping seminars spotlighting The Macallan Distillery in Scotland and California’s ZD Wines, followed by The Grand Tasting at which attendees reveled in generous samplings from such vintners and distributors as ZD Wines, Silver Oak, Twomey Cellars, Domaine Carneros, DAOU, St. Supéry Estate, Coppola, Hahn, Hope Family Wine, Luca Bosio, and more.
Plus, unforgettable taste sensations from AlleyCat, Atlantic Grille at The Seagate Hotel & Spa, Bazille at Nordstrom, Big in Japan, Blis Foods, Capital Grille, Gourmetphile, KakaoZON Ecuadorian Chocolate, Lemongrass Asian Bistro, Max’s Grille, Oceans 234, Poke Company, Ramen Lab Eatery, Sicilian Oven, and six curated food stations presented by The Addison.
The Grand Tasting also included a silent auction of exotic luxury items, including The Macallan James Bond 60th Anniversary Release Decade I with four Lalique tumblers, The Macallan private tasting experience hosted by National Brand Ambassador Katie Nahat, a Holland America Cruise for two, a Salmanazar (9 liters) of Taittinger Brut La Française, Truchard Wine Tasting for 10, vacation on a solar yacht, luxurious hotel stays, and memorable restaurant experiences.
